The Acomi Center has Kids Drop-In program for ages 6-12 years. The program runs from 3:30pm to 6:30pm. Volunteers are on hand to help with snacks, computer programs, art and crafts activities, the use of a smart board and different kinds of games for the children in the Central Park neighborhood.
The Acomi Resource Centre in collaboration with Manitoba Housing promotes the wellness, community and self-development in some of the public housing units on Kennedy Street. The Acomi Resource Center offers in-class driver education training for newcomers and individuals getting ready for the driving licenses. Courses are by registration only and are currently offered in the Somali language and also in Tigrinyia. We have experienced tutors and instructors who lead the classes which are offered once a week
The ACOMI community wheels program resolves some of the transportation needs in running program within the community by providing access to a community van for the transportation of program participants to/from program activities.
